" Hi! I am Shelley Cordsen with Expert Village.com. We are finishing up our binding. We have just sewed from crevice-to-crevice to attach our strips. Take your scissors, trim that excess off, about a quarter inch from your seam lines and if you got tails hanging, go ahead and cut those off, that way that won’t be in your way. Now ironing is very critical in this part, so you want to take all of those seams on my beginning here and you want to iron those seams open, they need to be flat, so we are going to iron that open. Only at the beginning, you need to take the corner, fold it down into a triangle, press that and then you are going to fold this in half and press that and you are going to fold this half all the way down to the end nice and straight as you can get it, remembering to iron open each seam as you come to it. Next we will be getting ready to sew this onto your clothes."

on 8/2/2008 Shelly Cordsen's quilting videos were very valuable to me as I was learning to make quilts. I've now created 4 of them, including a marvelous "Legacy" one for mother's day, that includes photos of all her children. She was thrilled. Thanks to Shelley for terrific instructions that helped me learn how to do this stuff...I'm having lots of fun sewing again (hadn't done it in about 25yrs).
