"These peppermint swirl soaps are fun to make for the holidays, just to have on hand for gift giving or to decorate your home. What I have here is just a regular round mold and I am only going to use the round one since we're making it look like a peppermint swirl candy. And what I have done here is to make one layer of the red circle using red colorizing powder. I have let that set up and I have cut it into eights. I am going to take four of those pieces and place them back in to my mold, in this little swirl pattern so I have it looking like that in my mold. And then I have taken some of the avocado based soap and melted it down and here I have used my peppermint extract for my scent. Before I pour that in I am going to remember to spray it with my alcohol. I'm just going to cover those up and let that set. Alright our peppermint swirl soaps have set up here nice and hard and they are ready to be popped out. And I have near by a little pairing knife. Sometimes we need to clean off the other side of it as you will see after we pop it out here. You can see where some of the white part of the soap has bled underneath, and sometimes you have to scrape that away. So we will move that out and by using our little knife we can cut clean to expose our little candy. I'll lay it flat and just scrape it off exposing all of the peppermint swirl design. And that is how you make peppermint swirl soaps."
