"The last thing I wanted to talk to you about today with your felt scarf if a little bit about how to take care of it. How to keep it looking good. And I'm going to start by showing you pressing your felt scarf. You might be a little worried about using a hot iron on wool. A lot of us are nervous about taking care of our wool garments so I'm just going to show you that you can use a hot iron on it. I have this set on a steam setting. It's between 5 and 6 on a scale of 1 to 7. So I'm way above the wool setting on here. Well my wool setting is 5 so I'm just above my standard wool setting on here. But you can see how it's kind of crinkled and rumpled all on my surface here and by ironing it I can really smooth out that surface and give it a little bit of a crisper look. Which may be what you're looking for. And if you want to use this as a table scarf or something like that this will also help it lay flatter on your surface and really help it look nice. And this side of my scarf is all wool. So everything on here should have shrunk as I was doing my fulling process. But when we turn it over and look at the other side you'll see that my silk elements did not shrink. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that silk doesn't actually felt. But if you look really closely in here there's a good one here where you can see the silk has made a little squiggly line because as the wool shrank the silk didn't so it just kind of gathered up and made those little squiggly lines. So you can see how much it shrank. It did shrink quite a bit in our process. And the other thing you can do with your wool felt is you can wash it just like you would a wool sweater. So you can take cold water and wash it by hand gently. Hand it up to dry again and it'll be good as new."
