" Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we are going to make a simple tied bow as an embellishment for your pretzel wreath, candle ring or picture frame. When you are making a simple tied bow and you have a ribbon that is different on both sides, the center of your bow will be the plain side. To make a simple tied bow, make a loop, twist it around like you would just making a bow and pull it through, get it to where you want it on your thumbs and keep pulling it and tightening it, pulling it and tightening it. Once you have done that, you can pull the ribbons of it down and straighten it up and you have a simple tied bow. It does not always come out as evenly in the back and if you wanted to look the same or if you don’t like this plain in the middle you can always embellish it with something. If you are using a ribbon that is the same on both sides that is really the best kind of ribbon to use to make a simple tied bow. You just make a loop, put it around just like tying a bow; you just don’t have a knot in the middle. If you make a knot in the middle when you are making a simple tied bow, the ends of your bows would go on different directions, but when you do it this way without that knot in the middle to begin with, you have a very nice bow that can hang just the way you want it and be the same on both sides. So that is how to make a simple tied bow with either a two-sided ribbon that is different on each side or a ribbon that is the same on either side. Either way I hope that you will find that it is not difficult to make bows to embellish your pretzel rings, candle rings and picture frames."
