Showing you how to do rag rug weaving on a handmade loom. Right now what we're going to do is learn how to do more than one thread at a time. So you can weave a lot faster. So we're going to go through here and pick up the one's from behind and we're going to put the fabric behind there and zoom, we just did two and a half inches. It makes it go a little bit faster and you just need to make sure you put everything in the right place. Now, let's do it again. These are the ones that are in back and we need them in front. We need one in between them each time. Once again, you keep it all straight with your fingers, so you don't want this too tight. And you straighten up your lines with your fingers. And that's what makes for a good rug. Okay, over here.... like this...and this one from behind and that one from behind... and this one from behind. So that we're having one in front and one in back every single time. I made it this way so you can see... sometimes you have a crossover. When you get older and you want it to be perfect, you won't do that, but once in awhile it just doesn't matter because you'll have the same weave going up and down. It gives it a little humanity. Make sure that you have it nice and thick. Bring it down here and come around the corner. We want a nice, tight corner but we also want it to be nice and square on the outside. So here we are again. And we're going over and over.... Okay, so this is a nice square turn here, so that it's still got a nice straight edge.
