"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show how to finish up our regular zipper. So once you stitch the bottom part you want to take your seam ripper and go ahead and start opening up some of the stitches right around where the zipper head is. Make sure it actually gets the zipper to get the stitches and not the fabric when you're using your seam ripper. As you do that I just want to make sure that your pins are in pretty securely, pull your zipper head down pull out these little extra strings out. I want to just come down just a little bit more because the whole idea to this step is we're taking the zipper head out of the way. So it's easier to show around it. Once you have done that, you want to go back and repin, pin everything really securely. Now we're ready to go ahead and stitch up the rest of zipper. So you line up the machine the last stitch go ahead and manually put your needle in, you just want to sew, back tack a little and then just keep going. Once you done one side, the next step is to finish the other side and then we're going to open up our zipper and your railroad zipper will be finished."
