"My name is Courtney Hester on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip we're going to be making a clothespin butterfly. We're going to start with a spring loaded clothespin and a brown pipe cleaner. We're going to take our pipe cleaner and kind of hold it onto our clothespin to get a feel for the size and then we're going to bend our pipe cleaner back and forth. Once we've bent it back and forth all the way to the end, we're going to glue it down onto our clothespin. Now that we've glued down our pipe cleaner, it's time for our wings. Now, in this project the wings are going to be made from a used dryer sheet. This is a really nice project for those used dryer sheets that we usually just throw in the trash. What we're going to do is cut it into strips first and it doesn't matter how wide they are. Then after we cut them we're going to go ahead and paint them and you don't have to paint them solid, just brush over with some different paint. After we painted I realize that I didn't want my strips as long, so I cut them in half so mine are a little shorter. Next thing we're going to do is take a couple of them and stick them inside our clothespin, this way, we're going to shove them down in there and then we're going to take the rest of them and glue them underneath the handle. So that way we have a wide wing span. Now our butterfly has its wings, next we need to add the antenna. You're going to take a small piece of black pipe cleaner and we're going to open up our clothespin and stick it down in that first slot and we can add some glue to make it stay in place and then once the glue has set, we're going to bend our antenna and now we have a butterfly."
