How to Use the Nail Gun for Toenailing

"This is Rob McManhon for Expert Village. The other method for nailing is toenailing. This is really only used when your plate has to be already in place and it's impossible it would be sitting on the floor so there is no way that you can get up from underneath. In this situation you want to line your stud up on your layout marks, take your gun, and another great feature about the framing nailer are these teeth here. They use this to dig in to the side of your stud like that. This keeps it from sliding down as you are nailing. Now when you do that it is going to kick over a little bit off of your mark. So you tap it back and put a nail on the other side. That will hold it where it needs to go. "
