Different Types of Power Sanders

" I'm Rob McManhon with Expert Village. There are several different types of sanders. These is a belt sander. Which holds the paper like this the motor runs it in one direction. These would remove a lot of material and keep a pretty flat surface. Here we have a little more random sander. What this does it spins and as it is spinning it also vibrates. Because it is spinning and vibrating at the same time the grip will never hit in the same place twice. Like it would do with a regular disk sander. It will just spin and you would see arks of the grip line. There is also a vibrating palm sander which will just vibrate and it doesn't spin. Vibrating palm sanders are great except they leave little swirl marks in the wood. So this does the job of both of the disk sander and the vibrating sander and it does not leave any marks."
