"Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. Today we will show you how to build a privacy fence around your yard. This is the inside of a typical fence you have your 4x4 post set in concrete. Then the 2x4 rails or runner set sideways. Then the pickets are screwed on to the outside of the fence. Generally you do want to have it like this where the pickets are on the outside so that anybody cannot step to the rails and climb over your fence. So you want to put the picket on the outside so people cannot climb over your fence. This fence generally I like to use longer 2x4s so that they extend beyond the 4x4. But this particular fence has 2x4s set in place like this. They are set in concrete and this is a 6 foot privacy fence. "

on 8/2/2008 C'mon guys, you showed everything else HOW TO PUT on the pickets. Don't assume that we know how to do that, if we're on your site - show how to notch the post and add the pickets. Everything else was great!
