"Hi I am Drew Fendy, master home inspector. I have been inspecting for over 24 years. Okay we are going to do one of the most important parts now in the procedure and that is to turn the power off. If you don’t cut the power obviously you can get electrocuted. We have got respect power, not fear it, but be safe. Now we have got electrical panel and we have got to turn off the power. The electrical panel… some are labeled, some are not. This one is partially labeled. Actually it is labeled on three places for basements, so we don’t which one to turn off. Even if there was only one that say basement power we have got to verify that it is off afterwards. So I have got Nick in there with the light on and we are going to see. Okay I am going to turn off breaker number 8. Is it off? No. Okay we will try the next breaker. Is it off? No. Okay this breaker. Is it off? Yeah. Okay great, so we have got the power off here. He is using a light stick to verify that and now we are ready to go, we can wire safely without being electrocuted."
