"Scratches on wood, you can use crayons to mark over the top of the scratches. I have a little box of crayons so all I have is a plain black and brown; but you can get one of those big boxes that have a hundred and fifty different colors in it and find the one that matches your wood pretty closely. On the scratch, you would just mark over the top of it and then blend it with a dry cloth. And then you can polish off the top of that and it will make it stay. Black will also be used on black wrought iron if you get a white scratch from moving it in or out of a house; you can mark over the top of it with a black crayon. This works really for anything inside the house. "
