"My name is Brent Shelly with Expert Village and we are talking about light design today. What does the interior designer want to see, whether that be artwork or furniture or if you are in a residential place, are you trying to read, that is a particular task and you need to create a certain amount of light, but to create that drama and that mood. We also need to understand electrical engineering because what we are doing is an electrical connective lobe so we need to be able to talk to that electrical engineer and make it clear so that the lighting would work electrically. We also need to be able to understand theatrical lighting. What are the designs that theatrical designers use to create the mood in a space. Lighting designers will sometimes refer to themselves as shadow designers. Without shadows the space is very monotonous and very boring so we want to be able to decide what we want to light and what we don't want to light."
