Step 1
Make ammonia solution consisting of 1/2 c. ammonia in 1 gal. water.

Step 2
Pour some solution into a spray bottle.

Step 3
Spray the shower door.

Step 4
Use a sponge or stiff-bristled brush to scrub affected areas.

Step 5
Rinse well.

Fume Free Easy Off Oven Cleaner in the BLUE CAN. NOT the yellow can. The BLUE CAN FUME FREE is made with a non toxic solution that will not harm fiberglass, metal, stainless steel etc. The yellow can is acid based and can cause damage.
Spray the bottom of the tub first since the can will not spray properly when tilted once the can is more than half empty. Let it sit for a couple of hours, I myself let it sit overnight. Then, the amazing part! Get a medium stiffness nylon brush. I use one that is actually for scrubbing car tires, turn on the shower and rinse with the water and scrub(I use the term lightly!) with the brush and your jaw will hit the floor when you see how easily the scum comes off! on 2/2/2009 Just use a fresh single edge razor blade on glass or tiles...works great and no fumes. Spray the residue away after you're done scraping. This is much faster and safer than using chemicals, neater and you don't need gloves.

on 7/27/2008 Mr. Clean Eraser and Palmolive Gel Diswashing Detergent worked for me. Do it exactly the way SHALYMAR413 instructs. It didn't even take a lot of effort.

on 7/9/2008 After reading about the Mr. Clean eraser tip, I had to try it right away -- it was amazing and easy. We're in the process of selling our house, so I'm a real fanatic about spotless cleanliness, and this truly did the trick.
