"Trick or treat, I'm Matt Cail on behalf of Expert Village I'm here today to show you how to prepare for treat or treaters. Now there are alternatives to convenient candy, don't think that this is your only option for trick or treaters, there are several others. In recent years some folks have been giving trick or treaters other items besides candy. There of course can be little toys, very small knick knacky toys, I'm not talking about the top of the line big huge expensive items. But aside from toys there are also other types of food and treats that people are getting out. You can of course consider giving out more healthy foods and this is becoming more increasing issue in recent years of childhood obesity. For example some people give out apples or other things like caramel apples which have a sweet but also healthy component to them. Some people have also gotten far as to given out vegetables. I don't know if I'd go that far but you can consider other options like convenient store candies. Another option aside from fruit to healthy items just to make homemade sweets even though there are some sweets homemade sweets are often more healthy and have fewer preservatives in them than anything you'll buy in the store. Some other things you consider making like cupcakes, caramel apples like I said, some other type of pumpkin pie. Just keep in mind that trick or treaters have to be careful carrying these things all night. So if you have something like this with cupcakes, you're going to have to make sure they're wrapped up otherwise they're going to make the inside of a trick or treaters bag very, very dirty."
