"Hi, this is Ginny from Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to be making a variety of versatile Halloween centerpieces. The focal point of our glass bowl Halloween centerpiece is going to be a dead tree. Now you can purchase some of these made out of iron or other things in a store or, like I did, you can make your own. You need to have a base, I just used a pumpkin or you can even get a big rock from outside, that would work just as well. I took about seventeen black pipe cleaners or chenille pipe cleaners and took them by threes and just kind of twisted them a little bit together. Just very simply, doesn't have to be much, just a little twist. Now and then you might twist two, once and again you might twist three and maybe have one loose one. And then put them together so that they're not all the same length, once you've done that, then go ahead and twist the body to make the trunk. And, once you've twisted the body to make the trunk then you can spread out the roots, if you will, and wrap them around whatever you've chosen to use as the base of your tree to secure it. Now you could do this to something that would secure it permanently or you could do it something that would secure it for the moment as I did. And then it's just a matter pulling down your branches so to speak, and if you want this to look like one large branch with smaller branches coming off of it, just twist it until you have your other branches and then just twist them out like old dead trees. And, do that all the way around with your branches coming out wherever you would want them to be. Because after all, this is an old haunted house tree, we don't want it to look too nice. Until all of your pipe cleaners are spread out , the wonderful thing about pipe cleaners is you can shape and reshape them until you have something that looks like this, or what your idea of an old dead tree would be. So that is how you can make your very own, very inexpensive, dead tree for your Halloween centerpiece."
