"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and tonight I'm sharing some Halloween safety tips for trick or treating. Let's talk about candy. How many times do you actually encourage your child to go out and collect candy from a stranger? Not very many. You're going to want to be sure that you're sending this sort of crossed mix message to your child, that you emphasis that part of the fun of Halloween is collecting the candy, but that by no means give them launch to start eating their lutes on the way home or at any point before you've had a chance to look at it. Check it and make sure that it's safe to eat. Even if you collect candy from a house that you know. Halloween night, everything is so crazy, you have no way to know where that candy came from. If it was actually candy that was bought from that home. Even if it was, has it been tampered with at the store. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with candy, so just make sure that you tell your child no eating it until you check it. If you have a younger child who's never been exposed to peanuts, you might want to just skip the peanut candies this time around. With peanut allergies having doubled in the past 5 years with young children, it just might not be the night to try it out."
