"Hi. I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm giving you some tips on how to pack your Christmas decorations away for safe keeping for next year. One of the best pieces of advice that I can give you when you're packing your things away is to create labels. If you're anything like me you have a ton of storage boxes whether they're these plastic bins or cardboard boxes or whatever they are all tossed up or shoved into a closet somewhere and it really is hard to keep track of them sometimes. Particularly if you've grouped your, your ornaments together like I suggested in some of the other clips. It's a really great idea to go ahead and label the boxes that you store them in. That way either you can find them very quickly and if you even want to go a step further you can actually log them in to your computer. That way you can remember what you have. It's something that I do. It's a little time consuming so if you don't wanna do that, that's fine. But definitely, at the very least, print yourself up a very basic, very basic label like this. Just on a piece of paper. You can go on to any word processing program and just write whatever, type out whatever is in the box. Whatever the contents of the box are. And make it big enough so that you can see it when you're searching through all of your boxes. And then you know you don't even need to tape it. You just open up your box and you slide it in and it can actually be kept on the inside of the box and that way you don't have to be worried about it tearing or falling off and getting lost. You just put it in there and you can see right through it. Now if you are doing cardboard boxes then you can go ahead and obviously tape it to the outside. You may or may not want to put it in a plastic bag. But this is a really great way to be very organized and to know exactly what is in the contents of every box that you pack away."
