This is Christopher with ExpertVillage.com. I want to talk to you about how to take out a window. Let's say that you are four stories up and you are not going to be able to reach it or you have a screen that you just cannot take off and you want to wash this window from the inside there is a way to do that. You can only do it on windows that slide back and forth. When you find a window like that you can take them out. You need to open the window about half way up because there is little clips at the top of the frame that prevent it from being pulled out so you have to push up on the window, see I am going to have to go over a little bit further on this window, push up. I actually had to go all the way to the end of this window before I could get the back frame to pull out. Push it up and then I am able to pull it out. Be careful about dropping it some times, these get really heavy. I am going to slide this over to a position where I can pull it and it pops right back out. Say for instance if you had a screen that you were getting from the outside you can now get it from the inside. Find where your springs are and which they are here pull towards you, be careful and slowly take your time. What happens if dirt and grime gets on the edges of these screens and sometimes they are hard to come out. You want to be careful when you pull on these clips not to pull the clip right off especially if it is not your own. You are going to have to jimmy it back and forth being careful not to bend the screen. And then you can lean outside the window by sitting on the window and cleaning the glass this way.
