"Hi I am Christopher with ExpertVillage.com and I want to talk a little bit about steel wool. Steel Wool is the window washer's best friend. If you have not used it, you definitely want to get in the habit of carrying this around with you but again the only kind of steel wool you want to have is quadruple and ultrafine and anything above that is going to scratch that so make sure that it is the finest that they make. If you have that, then you can use it confidently. You are going to need this when you run into new construction. For instance this is tempered glass so I cannot take a razor blade to it without scratching it. This is where steel wool comes in handy. You can wet your glass and take your steel wool while the glass is still wet and rub out any paint marks or any stickers that may be on the glass if there is anything sticky it works great. It also works great after you have washed your window, I told you that you did not want to take your towel, like I left a streak mark here, I can just take my steel wool and it does not leave anything behind. So steel wool works great for that for just rubbing out spots you may have missed, little nudges that are still on the glass. It works for dead bugs. This works great and you can leave it on a dry window without leaving any spots behind and so after I have taken a step back from my dry window I will take my steel wool and I will just rub out any spots that I may have left on the glass. You can even use it on the frame. This is some sticky stuff on the frame. You want to be careful about what you use steel wool on, but you can even use it on frames. For stuff like this on the frame I would suggest using some paint thinner to pull that sticker off the frame."
