"Hi! I'm Kay and we are filming for expertvillage.com here at Carter's Appliance in Fontana, California. These are typical water filters sold at most appliance stores or readily available at a parts house. This particular model is one that would go actually in the unit. The housing is located inside of the unit and the water is filtered inside of the refrigerator. This is an inline filter and this has compression fittings that would fit to the copper tubing that brings the water into the refrigerator. This goes on the copper tubing and then it is hooked up to the refrigerator so the water is actually filtered prior to coming into the refrigerator unit itself. So those are the basic differences between your water filters that are in the unit and this is one that is on the line coming into the refrigerator. "
