"Welcome back. Now we will be discussing the tools and supplies you will need to make your arrangement. Such as your container, and the flower dip. You dip your flowers into the flower dip after you cut them, before you insert them. This helps them drink up the water and stay fresher. You'll also need a long knife (any kitchen knife will do), a pencil or a pen, depending on what you'd like to use. It doesn't really matter. You'll also need clippers or a knife, depending on what you are most comfortable with. Also, a weight for your cymbidiums. I like to use glass; something clear. You'll also need wire to string your cymbidiums on. It could be any color, any size. You'll need rose strippers to clean all the foliage off your stems. You'll need your oasis. It can either be the brick or it can be a cup. You'll also need a water bowl to soak your oasis in, which we'll be discussing later on. Next we'll be discussing picking out your container."

on 10/4/2009 Hello Greg,Love your work. I have a wedding coming up soon and would love to make wedding centerpiece similar as yours, but with different flowers. May I ask, where can I get the oasis in a cup? I just recently helped a friend with her wedding centerpiece. She use a tall cylinder glass vase for her centerpiece. Over night all the flowers blooms and we had to pick them out the next day. Should I use floral food so the flowers would not bloom over night? you can contact me at njulie83@yahoo.com tank you so much

on 4/20/2009 Thank you so much Greg for sharing your talent and knowledge. I just finished my wedding centerpiece (practice one) and it turned out beautiful. The only problem I got is that the oasis is leaking water to the bottom of the vase (I used a tall cylindrical glass vase.) Does this mean that I need to used the oasis cup instead of the block?
Thank you!
