Series Summary

There are many different games that can be played that don't require a board or moving pieces by rolling dice. If there's one thing that can bring a family together or bring a party to life it's a good community game. Have you ever been to a party with people that found it difficult to socialize? Maybe it's a group that is not very familiar with each other and are timid to come out of their shells. Maybe there is a lull in the conversation and the group is looking for a topic change.

In this free video series you will learn several game ideas that don't involve a board, dice or cards and can be played by any group virtually anywhere. They can give you and your group or party hours of entertainment and possibly help you design your own game to play in the future. There are no rules to what you can come up with. Each video walks you step by step through the rules and details of each game designed by our professional party planner, Brenda Borg.

Video Transcript

"Hi this is Brenda and today we are working on a baby shower game. Baby shower games are always lots of fun. If you have some guests there that don’t know each other, this is a good way to break the ice and to allow people to mingle, laugh together and get to know one another and have some fun also. Now for this game we need a new baby bottle and some candy. That is really the only two items that you need. If it’s a fall baby shower, you might buy some candy corn like I have or you can get some jelly beans and what you need to do is to count the pieces of candy that you are putting into the baby bottle. Say for instance this is 150 pieces of candy. What I like to do is just maybe stick it on a little label and put it underneath like this so that we can have a record of actually how much is there. Now you can either set this on a table and let the guests come by and I’ll give them a piece of paper and a pen and let them guess how many pieces are in the bottle or if you like to, you can pass it around. If it’s a circle group you can pass it around. Of course then you would not put the number on the bottle because they could be able to see it. So you can do it either way. The person who guesses the closest is the winner. They get a little gift. It can be a baby gift that she can give to the mother or it could be a gift that you could give to the person who won and she could keep the gift. "
