Hi, I'm Kimberly Seeherman event design expert and owner of Events by Fabulous. Today, I'm going to show you how to decorate for your tween boy's birthday party. Now tweens are a difficult age and coming up with a theme is often a challenge. Some great themes that I can just say off the top of my head are camo or preppy, those are really timeless and fun themes that are cool at any age but if you are having a hard time figuring out what a great theme is for your child's birthday, you can't go wrong with a monochromatic theme color. So talk to your child about what color they prefer, here I'm going to show you how to do a blue monochromatic theme. This is going to be a really fun way and a really simple way to decorate for your child's birthday. So first you want to start with some table toppers. You can put them on cocktail tables or buffet tables. I've chosen a beautiful blue linen here and next I'm going to show you how to do a cute little centerpiece accent. Here I'm taking a small four inch hurricane and I'm just going to fill that with some blue rocks and then I have finished it off here with some clear swizzle sticks but of course you can choose candy that's on color and appropriate with the theme and last but not least you definitely want to throw some accent cushions around on your furniture in your house. Here I have chosen a beautiful royal blue and a periwinkle which again works with this whole monochromatic blue theme and there you have it, a couple simple tricks on how you can decorate for your tween's birthday.
