Hi, my name is Christina, and this is a monster mask project for kindergarteners. We'll be using construction paper and yarn to make our own custom monster mask. For this project, we'll be using an eye mask already cut out of construction paper, yarn, various shapes and a glue stick. We are also going to be using pompoms. First I'm going to tie the yarn on either side of the mask. These are the ties that will keep your mask on. Next let your kids use their imagination and decorate the mask however they would like. We have some horns here that can be glued on. There is no right or wrong with your students' mask. Your kids can decorate it however they would like. Since it's a monster mask you can do things that are abnormal like give it a third eye and now your monster mask is finished and ready to wear. Having lots of different shapes, sizes and textures available for them to decorate their mask with will help them utilize their creativity. Making a monster mask can be so much fun for kids, really engaging their creativity because there's no pre-supposed way a monster mask should look. Thanks for watching.
