Hi, I'm Linda Facci of Facci Designs. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a fresh lavender eye pillow. Lavender is a natural anti-depressant, it helps with headaches and insomnia. And it's very nice to just put this lavender eye pillow on top of your eyes for a very soothing effect. So, if you're using fresh lavender and it'll be wonderful if you have fresh lavender in your garden. So, you would pick your lavender, bunch it up, tie it with some cord and hang it upside-down in a dry place, like a cupboard, an attic, a loft. Now, it takes about a month for lavender to dry. So, once it's completely dry, you roll your fingers over the stalks to get the lavender off. Or you can go to a health food store and buy a bag of lavender. So, you'll want to use something really soft and soothing against your face for the fabric. So, you can choose a satin, a silk, felt, cotton, flannel, any of those would feel really good against your face. So, here I've cut two pieces of satin that are about eight by three and a half inches. So, you're going to put both of the right sides together, pin that. And with your sewing machine or you can hand sew, you're going to sew three sides of your eye pillow, leaving the short side open, one side open. Turn that inside-out and start filling it with the fresh lavender. Once that's filled, it takes about a cup of lavender to fill an eye pillow. Once that's filled, fold the open ends in, so you have a nice, neat end there and then, sew it closed. And there you have a fresh lavender eye pillow. This is Linda Facci of Facci Designs, and I hope it was relaxing for you, bye-bye.
