Hi, everybody. I'm Coleen Christian Burke and I'm going to show you how to make a Christmas centerpiece using a compote dish. Well not just a centerpiece, lets make an amazing centerpiece. You will need a compote dish, Christmas ornaments and some beads. A compote dish is basically a bowl on a stand just like this one. I enjoy working with like ornaments meaning they're all the same variety or color. This will give us the most impact. And today I'm using one of my favorite beaded ornaments. Start by filling the bottom of your dish with some beads like I have here. And I love to pull a strand or two out to give us some visual interest on the side. And then basically I've already started filling my beads in, I mean my beaded ornaments in. And I'm going to continue doing that. And this type of centerpiece is a little bit like a puzzle. So remember having different sizes will really help you get a great polished look at the end. So you'll need some small, and some large, and some medium but keep them all within the same color or the same style of ornaments. If you like you can add a piece of fabric at the base and some beads. And a couple of loose ornaments. And it's that easy. And if you really want to make an over the top centerpiece group three compote dishes together like I have here. It's that easy and that beautiful.
