Hi, my name is Autumn Wintersgill. And today, we're going to talk about how to knit a handbag. Knitted handbags can be very fun accessories. For this one, we're going to be using worsted weight or bulky weight yarn and size 10 needles. You'll also need two handles. So, you have two ends, your cast on edge and bind off edge and then, you have your sides. We're looking at the right side of the work. So after we have finished making the entire the piece, we're going to bind off and we're going to fold our piece in half with the right side on the inside. Match up the top edges. And then, you're going to take a wool needle and some yarn that matches your bag. The same kind of yarn that you've used to make the project. And you're going to start sewing up the sides, I'm just using a catch stitch. And after you have finished sewing up both of the sides, you're going to turn this. And at this point, you're going to pick out your handles and take the needle again. And then, you will just place the handle at the points where you want it to be on your bag. And start looping through the fabric and the handle, alternating fabric and handle. So that that handle is bound onto your work. And after everything is sewn up, you have a finished handbag.
