Hi, my name is Autumn Wintersgill, and today we're going to talk about how to patch a knit shirt. If you've ripped a hole in your favorite knit shirt, you can easily repair it if you have a wool needle and yarn that is the same color as the shirt that was knitted. Look at your work or your knitted piece that has a hole in it and just find the hole, come through the bottom, to the top with your needle and yarn and then, try to match the stitches around the work as they were knitted. So, we're going to come across the top of this hole right here and then we're going to go back through the bottom of the hole, from top to bottom, pulling the yarn through. We're trying to make a stitch that looks like the rest of the work before it was ripped. So, there we go. Now, it looks like I have a knit stitch in my work over that hole that's closing it, everything up that was ripped and hopefully, you will not be able to tell that this garment was ever hurt in anyway.
