Hi, my name is Autumn Wintersgill, and today we are going to talk about how to knit a neck and shoulder warmer. The neck warmer that I have here is easily knit. It's knitted like a regular scarf, except at the end you attach three buttons so that it can be worn around the neck. If you want to knit it like a regular scarf and then sew it up after you are done, you can also do that and you can make it small enough to just sit around the neck or you can make it big enough to cover the shoulders just by casting on more or less stitches. So all you have to do is knit in garter stitch, stockinette stitch, any kind of stitch pattern that you would like and I'm making mine in the round so after I have finished this, all I have to do is bind off all of my stitches and I'll have a perfectly round neck warmer. And this one is made out of alpaca but you can use any kind of yarn that you would like for this project.
