Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda, and today we're going to talk about how to make pacifier holders with ribbon. Pacifier holders are easy to make. You just need a few supplies and they are a great way to add flare to your baby's style. For this project we're going to use ribbon, a heat source to seal the ends, Velcro, a sewing machine, a pacifier clip or a safety pin, sewing needle and scissors. First we're going to cut our ribbon, approximately ten inches should be good. Next we're going to seal each end of the ribbon using the flame. Next I'm going to make two loops. The first loop I'm going to be using Velcro. This will attach onto your pacifier ring. The next loop is just going to be stitched shut. I'm going to use my straight pins. This will help keep your ribbon from slipping. Now I'm going to stitch the ribbon together. Make sure you back stitch, then when you get to the other end, back stitch again, pull your pins out and clip any extra thread. Next I'm going to stitch my Velcro on, just going in a square, making sure you back stitch. We're going to do the exact same thing to the other side of the Velcro and lastly we're going to take our pacifier and attach it on at one end and then take our diaper safety pin. If you don't have a diaper safety pin you can either use a diaper safety pin or a pacifier clip. The diaper safety pin is safe to use with children because it has a locking feature here, a regular safety pin does not and they are not safe to use. I'm going to use my diaper safety pin and hook it and then I'm sliding it right through the loop. Now it's ready to be connected to your child's clothing or car seat. Making your baby's pacifier holder is not only creative but it's functional. That way you always know where your baby's pacifier is. Thanks for watching.
