Hi, I'm Heather Klar. What does stitching on jeans mean? Stitching on jeans means what stitching on anything means, but I can show you a different, a few different types of stitches that are specifically for jeans. Jeans definitely have a certain type of stitching. They have usually a much more durable type of stitching, thanks to Levi Strauss, but it usually involves a double row of stitches and often times a contrasting thread, like a gold thread, and that thread usually is sort of an upholstery weight, it's a, it's a thicker thread, so it's much more strong. But it, everything is stitched down. When you have lots of other clothing, you know, the seams are sort of invisible and that kind of thing, but it's called top stitching in the world of jeans, and so you see all of those stitches. In addition to the invisible stitches that are inside of the garment, there's all of these top stitches that are making it extra sturdy and stylish as well.
