Hi, I'm Heather Klar. How to stiffen blue jeans. Quite frankly, you can't really stiffen blue jeans after you get them. You can, I wouldn't advise it. But I do have a couple tips if you really are interested. Stiffening your jeans is a tricky thing to do. It's much easier to make your jeans softer, or to break them in, because what ends up happening is your actually breaking down the fibers, which is primarily cotton in the jeans, and making them softer, more malleable, things like that. But to actually make them more structured and sturdy is a tricky thing. I guess you could dry clean them or employ some spray starch, but other than that, the stiffest jeans you'll have are the newest jeans that don't have any kind of like enzyme wash or anything like that. So, there you have it.
