Hi, I'm Heather Klar. How to sew a tear in jeans. Jeans are a really interesting fabric, and even though they're really tough when you first get them, they start to wear down because you love them so much and wear them so much. I'm gonna show you how to fix that. I recommend grabbing a, as far as a patch, you're gonna want to get something that's a similar weight, possibly even light, lighter weight than the fabric the jean fabric itself. And then you're just gonna lay it behind where the tear is, and then either by hand or with a machine stitch over it. I recommend doing vertical stitches. This allows it so when you put the jean on, it's, the jeans will still have a little bit of give going across the body. And just sort of go back and forth, like a giant zig-zag of straight stitches up and down. And you're just gonna keep going over it, make sure to try not to cut any of these threads. You just want to sew them down. And then just keep going up and down like I showed you here.
