Hi, I'm Holly Silva, and I've been a crafts expert for about 15 years now. Today, we are going to make a condolences card. Let's get started. So I'm starting out with a piece of pink construction paper that I cut. I folded it halfway and then I cut half of it. I like pink for condolences and you want to use really like pastel colors, things like that because it's kinder to the eye especially for those who are mourning or in grief. You want softer more soothing colors. So what I'm going to do is on the outside I'm going to draw with pastels. Now you can make many types of designs. Nice, flowy designs are usually nice. Now remember, anything soothing, anything calming. You can even do something like a smiley face if you'd like. Because smiles are wonderful and uplifting. Just because it's a condolences card doesn't mean that it can't be uplifting and certainly not jovial but definitely not down in the dumps, you know. OK so on the outside you might want to write something nice in cursive like. I'll write something here. Our condolences or my condolences. You want to do it really nice. And you may want to do it with I used this pastel which didn't work out too well but you might want to use something else. Maybe something light over dark might soften it up and make it really look softer. You just want to use like really soft colors and nice kind things to say. Just really one of the hardest things to do is put yourself in the shoes of the person who should be receiving this. Well there's your condolences card. I hope you know that whoever receives this card is going to be in some nice comfort from your card and just the gesture of you making it by yourself or on your own because hand made gifts really are from the heart and when somebody is going through a difficult time and you're sending your condolences, things from the heart really matter. So if you have any questions on this or anything else, continue to let us know. We'd love to help you out.
