Hey, everybody. My name is Gene. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator. I've been working in the industry for about 15 years and today I'm going to show you how to make some interesting looking stuff out of some candy containers. Let's get started. Alright so right here I have a candy container and it's just a box with one of these crazy looking whatever this is that actually held the candy. We're just going to get rid of the box, then we're going to use the actual part of the container that held the actual candy. Now, what I'm going to do is grab my trusty X-Acto knife and just stab one of these things, cut right into the center and trying to do it as best I can, it's really, it's a little tough to work with so you might have to do it once or twice in order to get the hang of it. So I don't know, eat a lot of candy I suppose although I probably shouldn't tell you that because candy is very sugary. Anyway, what we're going to do is we're going to cut this out just like this, just cut the bottom off so it's nice and round, boom. So I'm going to do that in the center one and the bottom one I'll cut out a little bit narrower, just be very careful, you might even want to use your safety scissors for this. I have my trusty safety scissors right here, X-Acto knife of course is much faster for the camera, just be very gentle because this is a very thin plastic we're using. So nice and slow, it's not a race, bam, cut out that little piece and we're going to cut out this piece up here, done, there it is. And then I'm going to take some green paper and I'm going to get myself an outline shape and the way I'm going to do that is I'm just going to set this on here and I'm going to trace right along the bottom of this shape here and actually I can go inside our larger one, boom. And now I've got roughly a similar shape to what I had there, cut out a little circle and then, I'm going to tape or glue that inside this container here, so I've got green sticking out and I'm going to do that a couple more times. The problem with safety scissors and having giant hands is that sometimes your thumb gets stuck. Okay so taper glue this one inside and then, get a little strap and staple one side to here and one side to here and then you can put it on your face and you have some night vision goggles. Alright so there you have it, this is a quick little thing you can do with a candy container. Thanks for watching. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
