Hi, my name is Melissa Barrad, the owner of I Do Weddings in San Diego, California. I'm here today, to give you a few suggestions on items that you can place in glass cylinders for your wedding centerpiece. You can see here, that what I have placed in my cylinder in front of me, is a pillar candle. As well as wrapping the base of the arrangement with lily grass. So, you're not just limited to flowers, you can do pretty much anything. And something else that I also love, is the idea of drowning flowers. So, that's where flowers are submerged in water. Sometimes you do have to weigh down those flowers to make sure they don't float to the top. A great examples of flowers that work well, with doing that are, Calla Lilies, and orchids. Or, you can go to different, other items that you can place in here. Black river rock, marble, something you'd see in a fish tank. And all these items can be purchased at a place like Home Depot, very, very easy, or a craft store. Or, if you're going for a romantic look, these crystals right here are another great way to go, it just reflects light. Especially if you are doing something like candles, it's a great way to go. But you could also take your cylinders, simple cylinders that you can purchase at a dollar store. And wrap them up in lace and burlap and twine and really anything that you can possibly think of. I'm Melissa Barrad with I Do Weddings, and I just gave you suggestions on items to put in your glass cylinders for your wedding centerpiece. Thanks so much.
