Hi, my name is Abeth, I'm an art teacher living in Portland, Maine, and I'm going to teach you how to make a spider with pipe cleaners. So I have chosen black for my spider, but you can really choose what ever color you want and I am going to take out four of these pipe cleaners and keep them all even, just like this and you're going to find the center of these four pipe cleaners, and you're going to grab the middle and just pull down like this so that they kind of fold in half. And then you're going to twist just a little piece of that center to make the head of your spider, then you're going to twist again to make the body of your spider and make sure it's nice and secure and you can kind of pull that body out like this to make it more three dimensional. Alright now time for the legs, you're going to kind of separate each of the legs and you can even push them through that center part of the body. So that it looks realistic, as if the legs are coming out of different parts of this spider's body. So here I've pulled two of the legs through to make them come out of the front of the body, they're the spiders front legs and then you're going to pull two more through the center for the legs coming out of the middle of the body. And then same thing again, these legs are going to be a little further back though. And this will also kind of fill out the body to make it look even more creepy and hairy, like a real spider. And then the back legs you can even run through the middle one more time just to make them a little shorter, make them the same size as the rest and now you're going to take each leg and pull it up and then bend it down, like that so it looks like a real spider leg. So you're going to do that with each of the legs, pull up and then bend down giving it that nice sharp point on the top, up and bend down. Go all the way around your spider doing that. And there you go. My name is Abeth, and I just showed you how to make a spider with pipe cleaners.
