Hey, everyone. I'm hair stylist Amanda Shackleton, and today I'm going to show you how to style and section your hair. When I'm working with people's hair I always go ahead and divide the hair in to four even sections. So you want to take something that's very, very pointy and just from the front of the hair bring it all the way down and section it in half and then go ahead and section it in half again. And what I usually do is take these big butterfly clips and just section it like that so it's easy to just keep the hair off and then I just style by section. So what I'll do is if I want to say I'm going to curl her hair. Just go ahead and take this section out and then just start using these little areas from this section. Go ahead and curl it. And then continue with the rest of the hair. Then I would come and take the back section here, the second back section, do the same thing, continue to do exactly the same thing with the curling iron, give it a curl. Finish off the rest of the hair and then go ahead and you can start working on this top part. If you start at the top, then you have a problem with being actually able to get underneath and get to the hair on the bottom. So it's always the best to start on the bottom sections. And keeping it in four even sections just keeps it clean and even for you to work with. So that's how I style hair when I'm working. I put it into four even sections and then get to work. I'm Amanda Shackleton from NY Bridal Beauty.
