Hi, everyone, I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton, and today I'm going to show you how to tame thick voluminous hair. When you are working on hair that's very, very thick and sometimes frizzy or on the coarse side you have to be very careful when you are brushing it out because there can be a lot of knots in it. So I just take small sections with my flat brush and just brush it through like that working mostly on the ends. Once I've done that and I've brushed it all through and I've got through all the knots at the end, I go ahead and I take something that is kind of halfway between a Pomade and a wax, with a little bit of texture to it and also a little bit of oiliness but it's not a heavy oil that I'm putting in the hair and I just take a tiny bit on my fingertips, give it a move around in my hand and go ahead and bring it down the ends of the hair. I take the brush one more time, brush it straight through the ends so that it's distributed evenly and then just take a little bit more and go ahead and work it into these baby pieces around the front of the hair and some of the flyaways on the top. And there you go, you can see the difference between the before and the after. I'm Amanda Shackleton, a hair stylist from Nybridalbeauty.com.
