Hi, I'm Cassandra Allen-Brown from Bags By CAB-Yarn Shoppe in Denver, Colorado,, and today I will be teaching you how to crochet a border on a pillowcase. This is a standard pillow case, 20 X 26 in size and what I did was two different ways to show you how to start crocheting on the pillowcase edge. You can use a steel hook like this and you can simply insert your steel hook to create your foundation for your crochet or you can use a darning needle crochet needle and sew around the pillowcase to begin your pattern that you're going to crochet on it. After you do that, you'll decide what pattern you want and I chose these shells because they are just cute and this is a single crochet. It's a half double crochet, another half double crochet, a double crochet, a half double crochet, a half double crochet and then finish it with your single crochet. That pattern as you see will go around the entire border or whatever pattern you choose on your pillowcase. You have two options, the darning needle crochet or the steel hook crochet to start your foundation for your pattern. And that's how you crochet a border on a pillowcase. I'm Cassandra Allen-Brown, Thank you for watching.
