Hi, I'm Kristen MacDowell from VivoPools in Southern California, and today I'm going to show you how to attach a pool vac to the filter tank. You want to locate your skimmer, remove the skimmer lid. You're going to remove the skimmer basket and then you're likely going to have a float valve in here, you want to remove that too and after you've set up your pool vacuum, you would simply feed the hose through the skimmer throat. In the bottom of the skimmers there typically are two ports. The front one is usually plumbed to either a main drain or an equalizer line and the back port is your suction line which is where you would attach your vacuum. So you plug that in there and then as you are vacuuming, the dirt and debris from the bottom of the pool will go through the pipes and up to the filter and filter the dirt out of there and then return it to the pool. I'm Kristen MacDowell from VivoPools in Southern California, and that's how you attach a pool vac to your filter tank.
