Hi, I'm Tali Gallo, Director of Solutions Bridal in Orlando, Florida, here to give advice on what wedding dress style's best for a thin bride. Typically, thin bride can get away with just about anything. It's really important to try on three main shapes to confirm what you feel comfortable in. There is a ball gown, A-line and mermaid. The ball gown shape, such as this, can really provide a perfect curve to bride that wants more shape. With the proportion of the bottom being large at the skirt, you can really emphasize a tiny waist while creating an hour glass. The next dress is an A-line shape which is the safest shape for any figure. Just about anyone can get away with this shape, so for a thin bride, I always suggest going a little more daring. The mermaid cut will show your petite figure off. I recommend this for a thin bride that has some curve. If your body is very straight down, then this will probably be the least flattering cut for you. When it comes to detail, shy away to too much texture. This can add layers that may add to your cute, tiny figure. Also, don't get too busy with detail because it'll quickly overwhelm your tiny body. You want to make sure your guests can see you, not just the dress. When you book your appointment at your bridal salon, ask them if there's any dresses in store that you can do skirt changes too. This will open up more options and will ensure you find the dream dress with the perfect fit. Also, keep in mind most bridal salons carry size 12 bridal, which means a size 10 and ready to wear. So, all the dresses are going to look unappealing on the racks for you. Rely on your stylist to pull the dresses that look the best on thin brides. From there, she'll pin the dress down to your size and in your case, the seamstress will be your best friend. Just be patient, the dress will have to go through special bridal alterations to fit you perfectly. Thanks for watching, I'm Tali here at Solutions Bridal in Orlando, reminding you to stay stylish.
