I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts, and in this segment I'm going to show you how to crochet the picot stitch. The picot stitch is a great stitch for adding to the edge of your work. You start by slip stitching along the edge, do two or three slip stitches and then when you're ready for the picot, it's just basically chaining three and inserting your hook back into the same stitch and slip stitching, just close off the chain. Then, keep slip stitching until the next picot stitch. I am going to slip stitch three stitches and then I'm going to chain three and I'm going to insert back into the same stitch and slip stitch and I'm going to slip stitch until I get to the end of the row. The picot stitch which is basically just three chains, you can also do four or five chains if you want a taller picot but it just is slip stitches and chain stitches to create an edging to your work. I'm Phyllis of Many Creative Gifts and this segment covered how to crochet the picot stitch.
