Hi, this is Coryanne Ettiene, and today I’m going to show you how to make a sparkling cider punch. Call me a traditionalist, but I absolutely love apple cider. Now, there are so many varieties out there, but I’m sticking with apple because, really, who doesn’t love apple cider? What you want to do is take equal measures of clear apple juice and sparkling apple cider to give it that beautiful fizz. I love how golden this is – it just reminds me of autumn all over again. And then, fresh-pressed apple juice. Now, the reason I’m using fresh pressed apple juice is it doesn’t have as many refined sugars as some of the traditional apple juices out there have. And, if you’re not familiar with fresh-pressed apple juice, what you can do is go to one of the local organic markets that you have and ask them. There are so many different varieties. But, I like it to be nice and cloudy – it adds a little bit of texture to the punch, and really mellows the sweetness of the clear apple juice. While your apple juice rests, take some fresh apples and do some beautiful slices. They can be a mix match of beautiful precision cuts, or you can just make them nice and chunky. I go for the eclectic look. I don’t have time, with three children, to be measuring out my apple slices. So, throw in the apple slices. Give it a little stir so that you’re mixing that fresh pressed apple juice with the sparkling cider and the clear apple juice. And, because nothing says “festive punch” like a little bit of cinnamon, rub your hands over the cinnamon – really get those essential oils really working – and then pop them in. Give your punch one more stir, just to blend all those tastes together. And then, pour into a champagne glass. You have a beautiful, healthy twist on a sparkling drink. This is Coryanne Ettiene, hoping that your next party packs a punch.
