Hi, I'm Gail with Gail Johnson Weddings and Events and today we're here to talk about how to clean a bridal veil. So one of the things that you don't want to do is throw it in the washing machine. That is a no no. I'm going to tell you to gather your items. Some of the items that I use that I like for cleaning a veil is Woolite or you can use some type of product that's similar to this item that is very delicate for delicate items as well as Tide to Go to pre-treat any stains and then a couple of clothespins because you want to hand dry again, not putting it into a dryer or wash machine is a no no. So what I'm going to do is we're going to start with our Woolite and you can use any type of vessel or a sink if you want to. So one of the things you want to do is pre-treat your veil so if you have any stains you can use one of these bleach sticks and you basically want to press down on it to get the bleach and then if there is any stains you just want to kind of just touch them up and pre-treat them and you just want to press down and delicately, just kind of go over the stain. You don't have to really kind of do anything to the fabric because it's going to absorb. At this point we just want to kind of gather everything into a nice little round ball and then we're going to dip it into our mixture. Once you put your veil into the water you just want to make sure that you kind of agitate the water and get a little bubbles going here and make sure that the soap mixture is fully working for you there. Make sure that every little piece of your veil is covered and that it's clean. So once you've pretty much kind of mixed it up here and have a good suds and make sure that you've gotten all the stains out, you want to let it soak in this bowl for probably about 20 minutes. Once your 20 minutes are up, we're going to gently gently kind of squeeze out all of the soap and then what we're going to do is just put this in cold water. Just make sure all the soap is out and we're just going to rinse and then we're going to kind of drain and squeeze. You want to hang up your veil and let it dry and if you have it outside, it will probably only take about ten minutes. Inside I say maybe about 20. It's very light so it won't take it long at all to dry but just hang it up. Again don't put it in a dryer. This is Gail with Gail Johnson Weddings and Events and this is how you clean a wedding veil.
