Hi, I'm Lori Riviere with ShortcutstoFabulous.com, and we're here in Miami's design district at Egg and Dart restaurant, and today I'm gonna give you some tips on how to throw a baby shower on a budget. Everybody's on a budget these days, right? Well, I'm gonna give you some simple ways that you can throw a fabulous baby shower on a budget. First thing, think outside the box, get creative. Start getting those scissors out and go to your local craft store. Hit up clearance racks at every store that you can think of, and find inspiration pieces. One of my favorite things that I like to do when I'm planning some party, whether it be a baby shower or anything else on a budget, is I love scrap booking paper. Scrap booking paper you can use for a myriad of things. So let's say for example you had a whale theme. Well, you can go online, find a whale template, use the scrap booking paper, cut out the whale template, and you can use it, hang it on the wall, you could use it as a place-mat, there's a million things that you can do. And this is so inexpensive, it's paper! Another thing that you wanna do is find clearance napkins. I love hitting up the clearance aisle in Marshall's and TJMax and finding my napkins on clearance. Not everything has to be matchy-matchy. Another thing that you could do is hit up garage sales and vintage boutiques. So you can find frames, and different things that you can use to decorate your baby shower on a budget. Go to Goodwill and thrift stores and find different things, and mix and match them so they look cohesive. Not everything has to be matchy-matchy. Also, go inside your own closet. You're probably have a ton of serving dishes that you can use in unique ways. So this, for example, is a shrimp cocktail dish. I can use it to lay place cards out on the table for when guests come in, or I can use it to put some pens for people to sign the guestbook. You can use this in a myriad of ways, just finding new ways to use old items already in your home. I'm Lori Riviere, with ShortcutstoFabulous.com, and those are some ways that you can plan a fabulous baby shower on a budget.
