Hi, I'm Lacy Pool, Co-Founder of Grayson Elise Styling and Accessories and I'm here today at Serendipity Bridal in Austin, Texas to talk about what is a sheath in, sheath silhouette in a bridesmaid's dress. I have two options here for you. Now, sheath simply means fitted close to the body. So, that's going to be fitted from the top of the dress at the bodice to the waist and all the way down through the skirt. Now, there are long dresses and the short dresses versions of the sheath dress. This is the longer dress. Now, this particular one has the ruching at the waistline which is going to be a little bit more forgiving than just a straight princess seams throughout. The shorter option of the dress has the same, the same cut, the same pleat work at the waistline but is going to be more fitted through the hips. So, it's not a really easy type of silhouette to wear for every bridesmaid's dress, but the key with wearing this gown is going to be the undergarments. You're going to want to wear some slimmer front undergarments, maybe a strapless more fitted bodice bra and then with some seamless either Spanx or sort of undergarments that will smooth everything out and not show. And these are two different options for a sheath silhouette for a bridesmaid's dress.
