Hi, I'm Cara Graver at The Cob Studio and I'm here to show you how to knit with rope. There are various thicknesses of rope. This is a clothesline rope; we're going to knit with that today. And you would cast on just as you would with any yarn, I think I'll make it a little bit longer and it's important to have something that's pretty flexible because you know a stiffer rows, ropes would be difficult. But, if you were going to use a stiffer rope or a large rope like this, which is pretty flexible but it's large, you'd probably need to use larger needles. And then, you would just knit the way you would knit anything. It's a bit clunkier, you might like to make a rug out of this, but I doubt it would be comfortable with bare feet. It could be a great rub, rug for scraping your feet outside the door. And there you have it, that's what it looks like. I'm Cara Graver at The Cob Studio and that was knitting with rope.
