This is Alvin Aki with Origami by Aki. I'm going to show you how to make a butterfly. So first we're going to start with the good side. We're going to turn it on the back like that. Fold it in half to make a rectangle, open that up and make a rectangle in the other direction. Then open up again and this time just fold one side to the middle like that. And then we're going to fold this edge all the way to the other side. So, this is what we're doing there, OK. And then this part where it has this little opening here, we're going to fold it up right to the middle and angle like that. And do the same thing on the other side. And you'll notice you should have this you should have this line going across like that, and that's a fold there. So now what we're going to do is open this up and we're going to turn it in side out along this diagonal line. And this is how it would look. So we do this, we took this part here, we're going to turn it inside out and do it along this diagonal fold. OK. So this is how it looks here, both sides. And now we're going to we're going to take this part and just fold it up like this. So just take the top sheet only and fold it up in the middle. And we're going to turn it over and this side has these two little flaps here. We're going to just turn those corners down on those flaps. Just get like a 45 degree angle. And then we're going to take this, the reason that we do that by the way is so that we can take this part here and fold it down. And what we're doing is we're actually making way for the head. We're going to do that on both side. What we're going to do is we're going to bring the head up, so it goes through there. And what we're going to do is take this sheet and bring it so that you see this part here is going to actually come forward so it's not going to lay flat very easily. The reason we do that is this gives the butterfly more of a 3D effect. So you want to make sure that you have that little, you're going past the part so that you're not doing it so everything's flat like that, you're going a little bit beyond that. And so you made this opening for the head over here. So, we're going to make the head. We're going to fold it back on that opening and then fold it forward so it's like this. And we're basically done here. To kind of put everything in to place, we just fold it in half like this, and this part here is going to be the head. So at an angle here to make the head, we're going to fold the wings back. And then we're going to shape the wings coming out like this, and the back wings also. So you have to make this crease here a pretty good fold so that it stays together. This is Alvin with Origami by Aki, and that's how you make the origami butterfly.
